Website live chat

Be there when a customer has a question

Connect website visitors with your team through the Connext live chat widget, real-time messaging and persistent conversations.

A small invitation to start talking

Create a website inbox in Settings and specify the website origin that will embed it. Copy the generated embed code into your website. The loader opens an isolated chat frame when a visitor chooses to chat.

Keep the conversation moving

Visitor messages and agent replies are persisted and delivered through authenticated real-time connections. Refreshing the widget in the same browser retains its visitor conversation token.

Keep internal discussion internal

Private notes appear only in the team workspace. Visitor endpoints return customer-facing messages, and the widget is scoped to the configured inbox and visitor.

From setup to first reply

Create an inbox, install its snippet, send a test message, then reply from the shared inbox. Test the widget on the actual configured website origin before rolling it out.

A closer look

Questions, answered.

What happens when the visitor refreshes?

The widget retains its conversation token in the same browser so it can load the persisted conversation. Clearing browser storage or changing browsers can start a new visitor session.

Can I put the widget on any website?

The embed origin must match the website origin configured for the inbox. Use the exact scheme and host, and test the snippet on that origin.

Does the widget expose internal notes?

No. Visitor history excludes private notes, and visitor credentials are scoped to their own conversation.
